  • What makes HERE. garments hypoallergenic?
Our garments are crafted from naturally skin-friendly materials like Bamboo Lyocell and Chitosan — both chosen for their softness, purity, and performance. Unlike synthetic fabrics, these fibers are breathable and gentle, reducing the risk of irritation. We avoid harsh chemicals and ensure all textiles are OEKO-TEX® certified, confirming they’re tested and safe for sensitive skin. The result? Natural comfort that works with your body — not against it.
  • What fit should I expect from HERE. garments?
Our garments are purposefully designed for movement, comfort, and layering—so you can focus on the experience. Each product page includes a detailed Fit & Function section, where we clearly describe the intended fit (such as slim, regular, or relaxed) and how it’s meant to perform in motion or layer with other pieces. You’ll also find a comprehensive size chart for every product to help you choose with confidence. If you're in between sizes or unsure, we always recommend checking the chart and reading the fit notes for that specific piece. Whether you're layering up or wearing it solo, our aim is to ensure it fits just right—for how you move.
  • How do I choose the right layer for my activity or climate?
At HERE., we've simplified the complex world of technical apparel into a clear, modular Layer System designed to help you move better—no matter the conditions. CORE – Your essential first layer. Lightweight and breathable. Think of it as your second skin. BOOST – Your midlayer. Engineered for insulation and temperature regulation during moderate to cool conditions, or lower intensity movement. DEFEND – Your outer layer. Windproof, protective, and designed for harsh elements and low-activity moments when keeping warmth in matters most. To help you find the perfect piece, our webshop includes intuitive filters: Layer – CORE, BOOST, DEFEND Activity Level – Low / Moderate / High Temperature Range – Hot / Mild / Cold Together, these filters make it easy to build the right system for your adventure—whether you’re hiking, riding, traveling, or just staying comfortable on the move.
  • How do I wash and care for my HERE. gear?
Our garments are made with mostly natural, high-performance materials like Bamboo Lyocell and Chitosan — designed to deliver lasting comfort, breathability, and function. With the right care, they’ll only get better with time. Here’s how to keep them at their best: Wash gently. Machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle (max 30°C). Avoid bleach. If ironing is needed, use low heat only. Use a wash bag. A mesh laundry bag protects your garment from friction and prolongs its life — especially useful for pieces with zippers or textured fabrics. Avoid rough surfaces. Natural fibers may pill when rubbed against harsh materials like Velcro, backpacks, or motorcycle jackets. When possible, layer with smoother outerwear. Air dry only. Skip the tumble dryer. High heat breaks down natural fibers. Instead, hang or lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight. De-pill gently if needed. Pilling is natural — not a defect. A fabric comb or depiller will smooth the surface and refresh the look. At HERE., we believe technical gear should feel good — and last. With a little care, your pieces will go the distance.
  • Why can the gear pill?
Pilling is a normal and natural occurrence, especially with garments made from soft, natural fibers. Unlike synthetic materials, which often use long, continuous filaments, fibers like bamboo lyocell and chitosan are shorter and finer. This makes them incredibly soft and breathable — but also slightly more prone to surface friction over time. Just like with merino wool, cashmere, or organic cotton, some pilling may appear in high-friction zones (under backpacks, at the sides, or from repetitive motion). It’s not a defect — it’s simply a characteristic of choosing high-comfort, low-impact materials. We design HERE. gear to prioritize feel, function, and responsibility — and with a bit of care (like using a garment bag and depiller), your gear will wear beautifully over time.
  • What should I do if my gear pills or shows abrasion?
Pilling or abrasion can happen — especially with natural fibers and in high-friction areas (like under backpacks or motorcycle jackets). It’s a natural response to movement, not a sign of poor quality. To prevent it, we recommend washing your gear inside a mesh laundry bag and avoiding rough surfaces when possible. But if pilling does occur, don’t worry: it’s easy to fix. A fabric comb or depiller will gently restore the surface without harming the material. We choose natural, breathable fibers for their comfort and performance — and that sometimes comes with small signs of wear. With a bit of care, your HERE. gear will keep looking (and feeling) its best for a long time.
  • Will my gear shrink or change over time?
HERE. garments are crafted with mostly natural fibers, which means some subtle changes may occur — and that’s a good thing. You may notice a softening of the fabric or a slight shift in fit after the first few washes. This is completely normal and part of the natural evolution of high-quality materials like Bamboo Lyocell and Chitosan. To minimize shrinkage, we recommend washing cold (max 30°C), avoiding the dryer, and air-drying flat or on a hanger. With the right care, your gear won’t just hold up — it’ll become even more comfortable over time. We design for longevity, not disposability. Our pieces are meant to adapt with you.
  • I’m allergic to seafood. Can I still wear HERE. apparel that contains Chitosan?
Yes — chitosan used in textiles is safe for people with shellfish allergies. Chitosan is derived from the shells of crustaceans, not the proteins in the meat that typically cause allergic reactions. During processing, the allergenic proteins are removed, leaving behind only the purified polysaccharide (chitin/chitosan). It’s the same highly refined material used in medical applications like wound dressings and surgical sutures — which are tested for skin safety and biocompatibility. However, if you have severe allergies or specific medical concerns, we always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before use.
  • What makes your materials sustainable?
At HERE., we choose materials that are not only high-performing but also lower impact — both in sourcing and aftercare. Bamboo Lyocell is at the core of many of our garments. It’s made using a closed-loop production process that recycles nearly all water and solvents — unlike conventional bamboo viscose, which can be chemically intensive. Bamboo itself grows rapidly without pesticides or excessive irrigation, and the lyocell process transforms it into a luxuriously soft, breathable, and more environmentally responsible fabric. Chitosan is another key material in our base layers. It’s a natural biopolymer derived from repurposed shell waste (like crustacean shells), giving new life to what would otherwise be discarded. Naturally antibacterial and biodegradable, chitosan helps reduce the need for synthetic odor-control treatments. Together, these materials help us avoid overengineering — and instead focus on comfort, function, and sustainability that lasts. All HERE. fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring they're free from harmful substances, and are gentle on skin and planet alike.
  • What is Chitosan?
Chitosan is a natural fiber originally developed for medical and pharmaceutical applications, where it’s valued for being biocompatible, antibacterial, and hypoallergenic. It’s often used in: Wound dressings – to promote healing and prevent infection Surgical sutures – due to its gentle, bio-safe properties Drug delivery systems – thanks to its ability to bind and release active compounds gradually At HERE., we repurpose Chitosan from crustacean shell waste — a renewable byproduct — to create a skin-friendly, sustainable fiber. Blended with Bamboo Lyocell, it enhances our fabrics with natural odor resistance, antimicrobial performance, and moisture regulation — all without synthetic finishes. It’s performance rooted in science — and engineered by nature.
